One-on-One Support

Tutoring

Every student learns differently. Sometimes a student needs help understanding a particular subject. Sometimes they need someone to slow things down, explain it another way, or help them figure out how to approach schoolwork when organization, attention, or executive functioning gets in the way.

I offer individualized tutoring and academic support designed around the student — not a one-size-fits-all approach.

Experienced Support

I bring more than 18 years of experience in public education, including work as a teacher and school librarian. My background includes literacy, research, technology, and helping students develop the skills and confidence they need to become more independent learners.

How I can Help

Homework and general academic support • Reading and literacy • Writing and research (including Science Fair!) • Study skills and organization • Executive-functioning skills • Technology and digital literacy • Support for neurodivergent learners

We can focus on a specific academic challenge or take a broader approach to helping your student develop strategies that make school more manageable.

Learning, Their Way

Tutoring shouldn't look exactly the same for every student. Some students thrive with structure and a clear plan. Others benefit from visuals, movement, hands-on explanations, breaks, or simply having material explained in a different way.

We'll start with what your student is struggling with, what's already working, and what kind of support would actually be useful.
